"You have this one life. How do you wanna spend it? Apologizing? Regretting? Questioning? Hating yourself? Dieting? Running after people who don’t see you? Be brave. Believe in yourself. Do what feels good. Take risks. You have this one life. Make yourself proud."

people are not commodities. they are not stepping stones. they are not there for agendas. they are not in your life to complete tasks. they are not there for you to manipulate and play games with and twist to your purposes like story characters. they are living and breathing beings who have all…

Happy Monday!

It’s a wonderful aftermath feeling when you shift focus. Like being more positive than negative, allowing myself to be a beginner at certain things/work/thoughts/experiences/love (hehe, yes I did say love, but of all kinds). Like, everything makes more sense. I’m a lot happier, there’s less pressure to be anyone but me, and I’m more at peace.

I don’t get that annoying paralyzing neck strain I would get when I’m slightly nervous or anxious or when I’m too focused on being who people want me to be.

My throat still dries up like I’ve got speech impediment, but! I can work on that.

I’ve learned to take things slow especially building relationships with people, I don’t have to try so hard to make people like me. If people like me- yay, if they don’t- mehhh. That’s where my focus shift: from worrying so much about whether people like me or not to it’s not my problem if they don’t appreciate a good blessing. Let it go, Elsa!

Anyway, just wanted to jot that down because it keeps slipping in and out of my mind.

I guess you can say this season I’m willing to face challenges.

"You cannot treat an extraordinary girl like she’s ordinary… you will lose her."

This crossed my mind/came up during a conversation this weekend… it’s so true. It’s not often I find myself taken back by the things I say/think, but I paused for a minute after those words came out of my mouth. Finally, I understand… Don’t ever allow people to treat you like you’re ordinary or allow them to dim your light. The right people will want to see you shine bright and when you’re with the right people, you will shine brighter. (via thelittleyellowdiary)

"Your most profound and intimate experiences of worship will likely be in your darkest days — when your heart is broken, when you feel abandoned, when you’re out of options, when the pain is great — and you turn to God alone."
